Hi Paul,
Thank you very much - it works
Just the notes:
- all IDE/ATA drivers are gonne (i.e. booting into "compatibility" mode result into BSOD)
- I think that file transfer slightly improved, while the booting is a bit longer (I boot from mSATA disk)
- the driver from x32.zip file is version 10.1.2, I later updated the driver ver. 10.8.0., that I found in file x86.zip in your older post. I have downloaded lot of different versions of drivers from Intel website, so I'm going to find latest version.
The reason I wanted AHCI support is I do a lot of booting from USB and I was a bit tired to go into BIOS everytime.

You're very welcome, Martin.
You may want to update the chipset driver, which may also install the lastest achi drivers.
This is the final release by Intel as far as I know, for XP and the series 6 chipset your notebook has...
Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.
