When I was installing the SSD I looked for the AHCI in the BIOS but couldnt find it. I ended up carring on without setting it but would like to make sure it is set correctly. Can anyone help with is. The BIOS installed is F1C 2.7

Your laptop should be in AHCI mode by default. Not sure if BIOS even has the setting visible anymore but it would be under System Configuration.
