Thanks.
You are not alone in having this issue.
Many people have experienced this when the new Windows 10 Fall Creators edition update was pushed to Windows operating systems.
I suggest uninstalling the application. Uninstalling it won't hurt anything. If you happen to update the legacy SATA hard disk to an SSD, you won't even need it at all. The purpose of the HP accelerometer application is to protect the legacy electromechanical hard disk from physical shocks,
Eventually HP will provide an update that works with the new version of Windows.
Just be sure to take a look the driver and software download page for you notebook's OS occasionally to see if a new version is available.

Hi Gert,
I can read and write in Nederlands, but I must ask you to write and reply in English so other members can read the thread . This is the HP global English forum.
By latest update do you mean the Creators edition of Windows 10?
Try reinstalling the HP 3D DriveGuard Software after first uninstalling it. The latest version is at the following link.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71811.exe
Install the latest version of the AMD graphics software to try to resolve the accelerator issue. See the following link.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72722.exe
HP has developed a fix for the accelerometer issue. See the following HP Advisory document.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05841987
Please keep us in the loop by letting us know if the fix worked for your HP product. Thanks! 🙂

I am able to open the link to the HP message, but it is impossible to download the file.
I got the message that page not exist. I tried again after log in but same result.
Also the notes gives the same message.
Please advise how to download this?.
Is it necessary to download first and install the old software or is this download a complete program?
