Hi guys,
I recently aquired a certified refurbished HP Envy M6 - Model M6-AQ005DX.
After a recent update of windows on my PC, when I boot the pc, I get te message that there is a system error and that accelerometer.dll is not being found.
("AccelerometerST.exe System error. The application cannot start because accelerometerdll.DLL is missing on your computer. You could potentially solve this by reinstalling this application.")
Further, i am getting notifications on my notification panel that restart required for mutiple cause. like:
1. "Your computer needs to be restarted in order to finish setting up device: HP Mobile Data Protection"
2. "Your computer needs to be restarted in order to finish setting up device: Synaptic SMBus Touchpad"
3. "Your computer needs to be restarted in order to finish setting up device: Synaptic SMBus driver"
But nothing happens after i restart my PC and these notifications still persist.
Also, whenever i play vedio on my laptop it stucks if the PC is moved. Don't know if that is related. I am a bit new to all this and i dont want to malfunction my laptop. Please help
Can you guys please give me a hand? I'm going crazy over this. I have read alot of posts on the forum but i am still not sure if my problem is similar to those.

Hi:
Please see if the steps in David's solution at the link below resolve the accelerometer issue...
As for the other issue, unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to offer any suggestions regarding that problem.

You're very welcome.
The error is gone because the problem has been resolved.
You will find the 3D driveguard device listed in the device manager, under the system devices section as the HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor.
That is what the 3D driveguard hardware is called.
