Add HDD inside an HP 15 DA 0989 NL

Hello to all, I have not found anywhere about the possibility of adding a hdd inside my hp DA0989NL.

This already has a 256 GB ssd nvme but I would like to understand if in the future I can add a disk for storage.

Unfortunately I can not find any video of disassembly or photographs of the inside.

Hi Giuliano,

Yes it is possible to insert a 2,5" hard drive or SSD in addition to the M2 PCIe NVMe drive. You will need these two parts

Hard drive connector board              part number L20454-001 (page 52 of service manual)

Hard drive bracket                               part number L20455-001 (page 45 of service manual)

You can try performing online search with part number.

A last question, do you think that this will invalidate the guarantee?

Upgrading RAM and Hard drives is an accepted practice and will not invalidate the guarantee unless you break something during upgrade.
