Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The PC already has a 180gb SSD Hard Drive which I dont want to ugrade. I would like to install M.2 SSD card into the spare slot.

It supports 2242/2260 M.2 SSD with PCIe 2x2. I am looking to go upto 500GB-1TB of storage but I dont find much options available in market. Are below products compatible, which one is recomended ?

WD SDAPMUW-512G.  M.2 2242 S3-B-M

OR

TS512GMTS600. https://www.transcend-info.com/Products/No-643

The M.2 slot will accept basically any M.2 PCIe SSD as storage extension.

However, booting from the NVMe drive can be a problem. I wrote details here https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/What-M-2-SSDis-comp-with-my-ei...

Drives like the WD SN520 exist as 512GB M.2 2242 PCIe version and cost around 100 USD.
