Those are not for laptops.  I am hampered I guess by actually working on these things and being hands on familiar with the hardware.

I Have a ZBook G3 with one 512GB Z Turbo Drive G2 PCIe SSD  which is actually a Toshiba XG3 Series 512Gb NVMe SSD

If I add a second M.2.2280 SSD do I need to match that or can I add say a  Samsung 500GB 960 EVO NVMe M.2 Internal SSD or Intel 512GB 660P NVMe M.2 Internal SSD or a slowwer drive like a Crucial 500GB MX500 M.2 Internal SSD

3/30/2019. just added a  samsung pm981 nvme ssd.512gb,,MZVLB5120 3D TLC M.2.. to my hp z book 15 g3  windows 10 fresh instal so far  i have had no problems with bios freezeing or anything LIKE PEPOLE SAY THEY ARE HAVEING WITH THE NVME,SSD  cant find driver for it yet still looking so far so good.MY LAP TOP IS WORKING FINE AND FAST. FIRST SIGN OF PROB. I WILL RE POST GOOD LUCK TO ALL WHO TRY THIS UP GRADE,..

Hello, your posts on your HP Book G3 helped me a lot.  On the issue of attaching a third, SSD drive (crucial mx 500gb sata ssd 2.5): did you need to buy an adapter (i.e. a cradle) for the drive?

It is difficult to find PM951 and PM961 as these are pretty old models.

I run WIndows 10 64.

Are there other models available in the market that have been tested to work as second M.2 drive in Zbook 15 G3?
