HP Elitebook 850 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I try to install a Sabrent 512 GB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2242 to my 850 G1.

Is not recognized at all. I searched in this and other forums, until now no success,

Any ideas? Is this harddisk not compatible with 850 G1?

Many thanks for any hints...

Mike

Hi:

Your notebook only supports SATA M.2 SSD's, not NVMe.

That is why your notebook doesn't recognize the SSD.

Below is the link to the service manual.

Chapter 1, page 3 shows the supported drive configurations.

Many thanks, so I'll try it with a SATA m.2 disk....

You're very welcome.

You should be fine with the SATA M.2 version.
