Hello, My 8GB Omen has a 512GB SSD, and a 1TB mechanical drive.
With the SSD almost full, I'm looking at options.
Can someone tell me if I can add an SSD to this laptop? If so, what kind do I need to buy? Can I replace the existing SSD with a larger capacity one?
Also - is the memory upgradable, and what's the maximum my Omen will handle?
Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide.

Hi:
Your notebook only has support for one M.2 SSD and one 2.5" drive.
If you need more storage, you can replace the 512 GB NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity.
Below is the link to the service manual:
Maintenance and Service Guide OMEN by HP 15 Laptop PC
HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 1 TB but if you need more storage than that, you should be able to install up to a 4 TB NVMe SSD provided it is single-sided.
The Crucial memory/SSD report indicates that they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB for your notebook.
HP OMEN 15-dh1065cl | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com
Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that your notebook can support up to 2 x 16 GB of memory, the Crucial report indicates it can support 2 x 32 GB of memory.
You can run this command to see what Windows indicates is the maximum memory your notebook can support:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
