I have a 15-cs1002ng laptop
It comes with a 250gb m.2 SSD and inside it has space for a second hard drive of larger format (normal laptop HDD)
I have an existing sata laptop hard drive that fits, but there is no cable to connect the hard drive.
On the mother board I see next to this space a small connector for a ribbon cable labeled HDD, but there is no cable, just the connector.
And I don't see how I would power the SATA hard drive from that small connector.
1: is it possible for me to add a second drive or am I **bleep** out of luck cause HP didn't include the cable with this model?

On consumer models, HP does not include mounting hardware for devices you did not order with the laptop. Here is the Service Manual:
You need these parts to mount a 2.5 inch HDD or SSD.
(6) Hard drive cable L23889-001
(3) Hard drive brackets L19469-001
The cable you must have. It carries both power and data so it will make a 2.5 inch drive work when attached. The brackets can be replaced with generic plastic or foam rubber mounting rails. Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed. Viel Glueck.
