Hi!.
I have a HP ENVY x360 - 15m-cp0011dx. It comes with a128gb SSD but it has room for a HDD. I read the manual, and it states:
"Supports the following hard drive and solid-state drive combinations:
1-TB, 7200-rpm, SATA 7.0-mm hard drive + 256-GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive with TLC
1-TB, 7200-rpm, SATA 7.0-mm hard drive + 128-GB, M.2 2280-SATA3 solid-state drive with TL"
Does anyone knows if i can install a 2-TB, 5400-rpm, SATA 7.0-mm hard drive?
I don't think 1-TB is enough for what a i need, and maybe someone installed a 2-TB and it worked fine.
Thanks!.

Yes, your laptop should run fine with a 2 TB hard drive. Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06001791
On Pages 27 and 28 is a compatible hard drive and instruction on removing and reinstalling it.
Windows 10 will recognize a 2 TB hard drive without any problems. Since you are using it for storage the only thing that you will have to do is go into Disk Management, right click on the drive and select "Mark Partition as Active". Otherwise, it won't be recognized by Windows. Also, here are the hard drive (L23942-006) specifications on HP PartSurfer: https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=L23942-006
This is a 1 TB hard drive, but you can use the specifications to buy a 2 TB hard drive of your choice.

thank you for your fast response!.
that manual link is the one have read. it shows:
so again, for some reason it specifies 1-TB hard drives, but not a 2-TB. that's the reason that makes me worried before buying it. maybe someone tried one or i have to settle for de 1-TB.
thanks again!
