If possible, I need to add a second M.2 to my new Victus 16-r0073cl. I am looking at adding a Samsung 980 Pro (1 TB, PCIe 4.0 NVME, m.2). First of all, does the Victus have the capacity for this (I see it has a second M.2 slot but there appears to be no guidance or mention of adding a second M.2 device.), second, would the expansion void the warranty, third, are there any known problems or things to avoid when doing this, assuming, of course, it is doable?

Hi:

According to this discussion, because your notebook has an Intel Core i7-13700HX processor, it does have a second M.2 NVMe SSD slot.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the SSD installation procedure:

Chapter 5, page 34 shows the locations of both M.2 SSD's.

Chapter 5 of the service manual indicates that installing SSD's or memory is a customer-authorized procedure, so off the record, I would assume that you will not void the warranty unless you break something in the process of doing the upgrades.
