Elitebook 850 g3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I would like to add second drive to my elitebook 850 g3. The main drive is 256gb ssd m2 drive and I have empty slot for 2,5' drive. I would like to add 2tb hdd - Seagate Mobile HDD ST2000LM007 2,5'' 2 TB. Will it fit? I know that hdd to this laptop should be not thicker than 7mm and this Seagate will fit by dimensions to hp slot. But what about so big capacity? Will elitebook work with so big capacity (2TB)?

Best Regards,

dubik3e.

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

The old hard drive capacity limit, which was true in very old BIOS versions, was around 120GB.

Since then, anything of 2TB or less will work in the newer PCs.

Hello,

Thanks for fast response. If I understood you right I could by this 2TB seagate hhd  and install in my Elitebook 850 g3? It will work without any problem.

Best Regards,

Lukasz.
