Hi my laptop has only 4gb memory but have checked that I could remove the 4gb and install 8gb. Question is will it speed up my model or is it too old as operating system is a 2013 model. Thank you would be grateful for any advice

Is it this one?

If so 8 gb is the max. It has two slots and can take up to a pair of 4gb DDR2-800 SO-DIMM which is hard to find and expensive when you can find it. Doubling the memory would undoubtedly speed it up some, the questions is whether it is enough to make the laptop still useful for today's computing?
