Product: HP EliteBook 840 14 inch G10 Notebook PC (6V5Y1AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Since new, after a few hours laptop use my cursor no longer responds strictly according to touchpad input.  I've created a video to demonstrate, available here from my GDrive. The problem is only fixed if I turn the laptop off, then hold the Power button down for 60 seconds and allow the computer reboot.   My research to date suggests in may be due to a charge buildup on some chip, but that's above my pay grade.  Advice welcomed!
