What was the warranty status of your unit when dealing with HP Omen? What country are you in? My unit was out of warranty and exactly one year since the first motherboard was replaced. HP Omen in the US, refused to repair the unit at no cost. I was quoted $541 USD.

Sorry for inconvenience they shouldn't do like this but i would recommend to every omen user who got this motherboard issue try to extend warrenty if it's expired.

They replaced motherboard and touchpad for me. I think they threw some bs at you honestly. I got my laptop back and it was fixed and ready to go . I sold it within a week and upgraded to an actual PC tower.

That does not answer either of my questions to you. What was the warranty status of your laptop when they replaced the mobo at no charge? What country are you in?

I wasn’t replying to you lol. That’s why I was not referencing you. I’m in the U.S. it was out of the 1 year warranty by 6 days. PER MY first post.

Iv'e had this same issue for months now until my laptop stoppped responding completely and I couldn't turn it on. SoI took it to a repair place and they replaced a part that was affecting the computer from turning on but after turning on a game the screen continued to be glitchy.

I got my lap from overseas, so I couldn't retain my warranty. I tried all software solutions, none of them worked. finally through several testing, I found that the lid sensor was partially broken by the heat that was emitted by the GPU.  So, I removed the back case and removed the sensor cable. I used an image from a redditor to find the location of the cable. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fhal-sensor-placement-on-hp-omen-17-...
