Hi there,
I'm an owner of the -dw1000nk laptop and I'm considering upgrading the RAM if it's possible. I, currently, have a 4g 2400mhz DDR4, while my system logically supports up to 16g on two slots, it has only one physical slot (where the RAM module inserted) and an empty pcb for another slot. I don't have much of knowledge in the domain so I dont know the existing slot maximum capacity, or the possibility for soldering a new slot. I searched for documentation, but I couldn't find any related topics for my specific model.
I really appreciate any help and thank in advance

Hi:
Your only option would be to remove the 4 GB memory chip and install an 8 GB memory chip.
You cannot add a memory slot to install another 8 GB memory chip.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure:
Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade information.
One SODIMM memory module slot, non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable (Pentium and Celeron processors)
DDR4-2400 dual channel support
Supports the following configurations:
● 8 GB (8 GB × 1)
● 4 GB (4 GB × 1)
Maintenance and Service Guide HP 15 Laptop PC
While you are in there you may want to consider replacing the 1 TB 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" SATA solid state drive (SSD).
