HP ENVY 13” 13-aq0044nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I do not like the fact that this PC auto-ejects the micro SD card every time I attach a USB device or the power cable.  My 500 GB SD card cost ~$175, and now its only a matter of time until I lose it, thanks to the poor design.  Even my phone is smarter than that.

Also, I don't understand why this forum tagged me as a student.  I am a retired computer scientist.  There does not seem to be a way to edit that tag.

@Mike_E1 Welcome to HP Forums Community!

I recommend you try the below steps to resolve the issue:

1. Insert SD card
2. Open properties of SD card, hardware tab,

3. Select SDXC Card, select properties,

4. General tab, change settings, driver tab,

5. Select Uninstall Device

Once done, update the BIOS and the Chipset drivers from the HP website: Click here to find and install the same.

P.S: The Honor student is just a title given to a person who has created a post in the community or responded to someone, it has nothing to do with who you are, but I'm honored to know I'm dealing with an ex-scientist.
