I do not like the fact that this PC auto-ejects the micro SD card every time I attach a USB device or the power cable. My 500 GB SD card cost ~$175, and now its only a matter of time until I lose it, thanks to the poor design. Even my phone is smarter than that.

I recommend you try the below steps to resolve the issue:
1. Insert SD card
2. Open properties of SD card, hardware tab,
3. Select SDXC Card, select properties,
4. General tab, change settings, driver tab,
5. Select Uninstall Device
Once done, update the BIOS and the Chipset drivers from the HP website: Click here to find and install the same.
