HP ENVY 15 J009WM
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have an HP Envy 15, model J009WM and I want to replace my damaged keyboard with a backlit keyboard (it has a non backlit keyboard) I just wanted to make sure than this model is able to take the upgrade, since I don't know how to open ot properly, which can result in mishandling the product and also before ordering a new keyboard.

Thanks in advance ❤

UPDATE:

I went to a laptop repair shop unsure whether my motherboard had a backlit option or not and it did. A most accurate solution will be to find out your computer's motherboard model and check if this upgrade is available. In my case it was, I just bought the backlit keyboard on amazon and installed it in a professional laptop shop. So, this model may have or not the upgrade depending on the motherboard's model. My best advice is to go for a maintenance routine and check if you have that option before purchasing the keyboard.

@SonyaPB

Motherboard of your machine don't have connectors for lights, this probably won't work
