Hi, I am trying to enable TPM 2.0 on my Pavilion and went to the BIOS menu and selected the Security tab. However, the only options available are:
Administrator Password <Clear>
Power-On Password <Clear>
Intel Software Guard Extensions (SGX) <Disabled>
Restore Security settings to Factory Defaults
Does this mean that my laptop simply does not have a TPM or is there something else that has to be done first before I can see/access the other options in the Security tab?
I did previously update the BIOS recently (within the last month or so). I honestly have had nothing but problems with this machine from day 1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @ldwhite17
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing TPM issues with HP Pavillion 15.
Please follow the below steps:
1. Run the Softpaq update.
2. Run TPM.MSC: Press the Win+ R keys to open Run, type tpm.msc, and then click/tap on OK to open the TPM Management snap-in.
3. Check the Manufacturer version for the TPM.
This means AMD fTPM is enabled
This is the AMD fTPM version
4. If the Manufacturer Version starts with a 3, it is necessary to clear the TPM to fully mitigate the vulnerability.
5. Download and run this new softpaq to fix the issue: Click here
