Hi Guys,

Needing some help please please, I have recently upgraded the CPU to Intel Core i7-3632qm as per HP recommendations, all working fine but the only problem is that the CPU is not turbo boosting to 3.2ghz and sticks to the maximum base clock speed of 2.2ghz, i also go into the BIOS (F.26 Version) and it does not have the option to to turbo boost on or off, do i need a newer update BIOS or what am i doing wrong? Your help will be much appreciated.

Hi:

There is a BIOS version F.27 on the support page under the Windows 8 driver section.

Since the BIOS update was written to be run on Windows 8, I don't know what will happen if you run it on Windows 10.

These are the release notes...doesn't mention anything about turbo-boost, and unfortunately, I would not be able to provide any further help regarding the problem.

ENHANCEMENTS:
- Provides improved security for UEFI BIOS.

Thank you for the reply.

Please can you confirm whether this particular motherboard supports intel turboboost technology & Intel Speedstep Technology?
