Operating System: Linux

I have what I think is an Asian gray market laptop, bought from Newegg as "refurbished." The model # is17-ca1xxx and the product # is 38Z77U8R, but hp.com does not recognize the serial # (if I spoke Chinese, I might try the Asian site). The best support webpage seems to be

I updated the BIOS to F.62 Rev.A, which causes many errors on Linux boot (I changed the BIOS to legacy boot, reinstalled Windows 10, and run Devuan Linux from an external SSD). Most of the errors appear to be related to BIOS.

 

HP must not test Linux before it releases a new BIOS. I would try to roll-back to the previous BIOS, but HP deleted it from the support page. If anyone knows where I can download the previous BIOS (F.61?), please post the link.
