I got an "HP Notebook System BIOS Update (Intel Processors) update available on HP Support Assistant.
I tried to update it by selecting default option (update BIOS on this device, requires restart) and after installing, I was asked to restart machine.
I then got following two options:
1. "The BIOS update may not fully update in legacy flash method. Please select "Create recovery USB Flash drive" to create crisis dongle and run this utility again. CLick exit to close this utility"
2. Only update BIOS region. CLick continue to continue the flash process.
I wasn't sure what to do so I selected the first option and exited the utility. I still got a prompt to restart the machine and I did so.
After restarting, I see the BIOS update available as is under HP Support Assistant.
Although I'm not really tech savv, I believe updating BIOS is important for the health of the machine, right? So what did I do wrong here and can anyone please help me with this? Thanks much!
