Hello,
I have an HP Pavillion g6 Notebook - 2304sf. Can anyone inform me as to whether or not I need to upgrade my BIOS (see details folloowing), and if affirmative, how/where I can go about doing so?
BIOS version: lnsyde F.26 02/06/2014
SMBIOS version: 2.7
BIOS mode: UEFI

Hi,
There is a more recent version of your Bios F27 RevA for Intel processors. It is recommended that you update to this version.
Even though you have windows 10 installed and on the download page you will see that this is for win7 and win8, the Bios is not strictly related to the OS, so you can download and install this Bios without any problems.
Here is the link to the correct page:

Hi,
Big thank you. Took all of five minutes and it is done! New hard drive (ordered, with guidance in this forum), Windows clean install (pending), new battery, updated BIOS...I feel like my HP chocolate-brown beauty has a new lease on life. And I was ready to bin it (literally) two weeks ago.
Another reason I stick with HP, their (your) hardware support and forum/site support are excellent. 'Others' should take a few pages out of HP's books.
