Hi, @Stefen
The Crucial memory report for your model indicates that 32 GB is supported.
https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-15-bc403tx
I suggest that the memory you bought is incompatible with your notebook.
Your notebook has an Intel 8th gen processor so it should support 32 GB of memory.
HP oftentimes understates the real memory capacity of the notebook.
You might want to buy the 32 GB Crucial memory kit recommended for your model since they guarantee compatibility.
If you can't get the part directly from Crucial, google the part number and see if you can get it elsewhere.

Hi Sir...
May i know it's mean 1 slot maximum 8Gb or the max of 2 slot memory is only 8Gb?
I really confused. When i run it on safe mode it's still okay doesn't crash or any else... And bios also detect it at 32 GB.
Could you give me a reason of this... Thanks.
And thank you already answer my problem. Big thanks sir.

You're very welcome.
Yes, it is odd and very sad that the G.Skill memory didn't work.
I use G.Skill memory in a couple of my HP notebooks, and it works great.
But they were much older models that use DDR2 memory.
Can you return the memory, or are you stuck with it?
Sometimes you only have to pay a re-stocking fee.
Can you post the part number of the memory you bought?

You're very welcome.
I looked up that part number, and unfortunately, I don't know why it wouldn't have worked.
It was the right speed memory for the processor and everything...
For whatever reason, your PC doesn't like it.
