Good morning,
I have bought an HP ENVY - 13-aq0887ne last December with Windows 10 pre-installed. It crashes frequently when it isn't plugged in (BSoD with critical process died error), but it never crashes when it's plugged in. Here's more details:
Directly after I've got it I've noticed that it gets the BSoD with the "critical process died*" error. I've ignored it at first thinking it just needed some driver updates, and the BSoD wasn't as frequent. Since then the BSoD has been getting more and more frequent so I've kept my drivers up to date and then I got a recommendation from my updates center to upgrade to Windows 10 version 1909 since my version is nearing the end of its service. I've upgraded to this version then I noticed it was getting worse so I reverted back to the earlier build that I was originally on. Anyway, now the issue is persisting but I've definitely caught the pattern that it never crashes (BSoD) when it's plugged in, but it crashes very frequently when it isn't.
*Some times I've got other error codes: unexpected store exception, memory management. But they were only a few times, the critical process died error is the recurring one.
