Dear HP Support team,
I am using HP Pavillion x360 convertible 14-ba0xx laptop from just past 1 year. the serial number of my laptop is 8CG749162L & product number is 2FK62PA#ACJ. this laptop is under extended warranty so this laptop is still having 22 month of extended warranty.
i am facing some issue related to battery charging issue. it is not charging up to 100% & when it charging percentage reachedsup to 91% or sometime 93% then "Plugged in, not charging " message is appearing on battery icon.
i ahve troubleshoot with HP Battery check & it is showing "Primary Battery is OK"
i ahve also troubleshoot with HP PC Hardware Diagnstoics windows & in that also Battery Test is "Passed" but when i checked test log first 3 cell voltages are nearer to 4000mV but last cell voltage was 0mV.
does it indicate battery issue? does i need to replace the battery?
does battery is covers under extended warranty? as i have used this laptop not more than 14 months & i am facing battery related issue.
hope to hear from you soon.
Regards
Digvesh

I suggest that you check to see that your BIOS is updated to the latest version F.52 for yout notebook.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-14-ba000-x360-convertible-pc/15551162
Have you used the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility to run the battery test and calibration?
As time passes, a notebook battery will no longer charge to 100 % of its designed storage capacity. The Battery test should auto-recalibrate to actual 100%. You will need to have the power adapter connected when you perform the test/calibration from within the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.
I suggest that you use the Battery-report utility in Windows to see the complatet status of your battery and charge status since new to current. The link to a description on how to invoke the Battery-report is at the link below this lline.
The"checked test log first 3 cell voltages are nearer to 4000mV but last cell voltage was 0mV" reading is because there are three cells, not four.

I was away for the weekend.
I tried the Battery-report download link in your last post. All I see is a bunch of HTML code.
It would be simpler if you invoked the report and in the browser use the "save as text" function.
Paste the report into your next reply in the thread.
An alternative would be to paste the text of the report into a notepad file and put that into dropbox instead.
That way viewing the report will not require any hassle on the viewer's part.

Hi @Digvesh27390,
The results I see from your Battery-Report are quite bit different than I see if I invoke the report on my HP product loan Spectre x360 - 15-ch000 CTO notebook. My report actually shows the history from the first day that I turned it on right out of the box.
I do not know how you use your notebook. Is it gaming or heavy office productivity?
I have been using the HP product loan for almost 330 days and I have not had the capacity loss that your notebook's battery appears to have had.
The report does say at the end that the mobile battery use is the same as when the OS was installed.
Current estimate of battery life based on all observed drains since OS install Since OS install 3:55:12 - 3:55:12 -
Considering the capacity of the battery in your notebook, that is about as good as it gets. I do not have an explanation as to why the battery test did not calibrate the battery to actual 100%.
I will edit this shortly.
OK.
Something you should try that may get rid of the irritating message is an old school method (from Windows 7) using the Device Manager. See the third party tutorial at the link in the line below.

Hi Erico,
Thank you for the reply & information.
i am using this laptop for my office use only, yes this is loaded with many testing software but those will be used only on when i visit the site for testing purpose otherwise i use only Outlook, MS- Word,Excel, PDF reader this type of software in my daily routine.
i have visited the link which you have given me & i have performed everything which is described in the same. but my laptop is having non-removable battery & this laptop is still under extended warranty so i don't think so is it good to open the back panel of the laptop & reconnect battery connector so i ahve skip battery removing step.
after that when i again checked the performance i am still getting the same problem.
Best Regards

Do you use the notebook as a desktop replacement?
I am a bit surprised that you opted for a consumer grade notebook instead of an Enterprise level notebook.
I took a look at the manual for your notebook.
It is sup[osed to be delivered with a 3-cell, 41 wHr, 3.6 aH liOn battery HP p/n 916811-855. The report shows it has lost a quarter of that.
I expect replacing the battery will resolve the issue. You should reach out to the HP warranty team to see if the will replace your battery under warranty.

Hello Erico,
Thank you for the reply & information.
sorry for the delay in responding, actually i was out of office for last 2 days.
you can say that i am using notebook as replacement of desktop, but not 100%. as i am service engineer so i have to visit many site for testing purpose so for that i have purchased this laptop, i am not playing or installed any ganme in this PC at present.
as per your comment i am also thinking that battery is having an issue & i ahve reached the HP warranty team but they told me that Battery & Charger is under cover under extended warranty. i have purchased this notebook in last Feb 2018 so one year standard warranty is over. it is just two months extra than warranty period & if this type issue will come & warranty team will not support in such cases then what is the use of extended warranty.
i really appreaciate your time & support you have given to this case.
once again Thank you very much for everything.
Best Regards
