My battery is useless after approximately 15 months usage. It started to run poorly after about 11 months
What do I do? How can I buy a replacement? I have 2 minutes charge and this is affecting my business.
Bitterly disappointed.

I hesitate to recommend any of these but here is another link to a couple compatible battery sellers in UK:

You could buy a couple of these cheap used ones and be pretty sure to get a good one:

Where are you located (country)?
2 possible part numbers:
800050-001 and
800049-001
The battery is easily removeable and replaceable.
A "compatible" 3rd party battery is as little as $20 on US Amazon.com
Genuine HP as little as $28:

Hi thanks for the feedback (I am in th UK)
I bought 2x 800050-001 from ebay, neither of which worked, both failed diagnostics. The hold zero charge. The seller refunded me but still have no battery.
I am wary about getting th fake versions from amazon. I am happy to get a genuine hp battery but got no response to an email I sent to HP and can't find 800050-001 for sale on this website.
Do you have a link for a reliable 800050-001?

I have not purchased from these sellers so hard to vouch for them. HP stops selling batteries for models after a year or 2. At that point battery replacement activity shifts to authorized resellers for genuine product and to the knock-off compatible sellers. The "compatible" batteries are not fake, like fake news, they are real batteries and are made from the same cells as genuines. I buy them all the time for older laptops. You do get the occasional dud but they are very cheap and the sellers are very responsive to requests to replace them.
Seems like if you search for the 800050-001 you mostly get folks trying to sell the 800049-001

All I am finding on eBay, where most resellers would sell, is compatible batteries:
Here are a couple resellers from the HP UK website. Not sure they have this battery but it might be worth a chat with them:

You would lose your bet as I have a multimeter.
I left the new packs charging for hours and it switched off instantly. It does not work, the diagnostic said to replace.
Can someone please recommend somewhere in the UK I can buy a replacement pack?

Ive already given you the best information available about where to try to find the replacement battery. They are hard to find and you are not willing to accept a "compatible" and there do not appear to be any genuines for sale in UK.
