Pavilion x360 14-ba005ne
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I own a HP Pavilion x360, its only 7 month old but  from sometime i am noticing that it is not chargin after 83%.

It Says Not Charging after 83%. Is it because i upgraded my BIOS?? Help!!

The topics listed will help in improving the battery's performance, However you may re-start the notebook, keep tapping F2, and run a test with the battery to check if it is good. 🙂

Thank you sir but the battery is in good condition, the problem is that I can't charge it to 100%

I also deployed batter check from HP Diagnostics tools at boot time and it showed good health.

I think some kind of program is preventing it from charging above 83

Follow this link and try calibrating the battery, Once done, Try to charge it and check if it works. 🙂

Sir, I went through the link you provided and ran HP Diagnostic tool at the boot time. On running battery check i received following results. Please note that it gave an error (Blown fuse 42) when i ran it for the first time with Charger connected.

But then i unpluged chrager and ran it again and the test was successfull this time. What does this indicate ??

Please share the product number of your notebook to assist you better?

 

Let's try re-installing the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery 

 

1) In the search box, type and open “Device Manager”. 
2) Expand “Batteries”. 
3) Right click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there. 
4) Click on “Uninstall”. 
5) At the prompt put a check in the box to remove the current driver 
6) Shutdown the computer. 
7) Remove the battery for minute and then put it back in. 
8) When the computer comes back up it should automatically find the driver. 
9) Go to Device Manager. 
10) Expand Batteries. 
11) Right click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there. 
12) Click "Search automatically for updated driver software". Do the same thing with Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller. 

 

Also, try updating the computer - 

 

Step 1 Windows Updates - 

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates. 
2) Check for updates. 
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

 

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates - 

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant. 
2) Check for updates. 
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

 

This document has the most relevant troubleshooting if your battery appears to be not charging. 

 

Battery Does not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge 

 

If the issue persists, Let's Run a battery test using F2 (during restart), if the test failed: 

Check with an alternate battery.
