I have received a second replacement battery (HP Battery 4C 63Wh 4. 112A LI TE - 905277-855 - OEM) for my hp omen laptop (OMEN by HP 15t-ax200 CTO Laptop PC). I would like to replace the current failing battery later today, I need to know the correct procedure after I replace the battery. I have read many articles saying a multitude of conflicting things. Some articles say that you should immediately calibrate the replacement battery, some say you should wait between 6-12 hours after fully charging the battery to calibrate, and some say you should not calibrate the battery at all after replacement. Following the direct instructions from the hp manuals, it says nothing about calibration after a replacement but the last time I replaced the battery all the battery health checks I ran (bios, windows, command prompt) stated that calibration/replacement was needed. If calibration is needed after my replacement I would also like to know the most effective method of calibration I/E manual draining, bios, memory test draining, or something else.
I would like to safely and successfully replace the battery as soon as possible thanks!

Hi@MMM555,
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Apologies for all the inconvenience!
We understand that its second battery is replaced which is failed quick period of time and calibration is not required with new genuine HP batteries.
Please find document HP Notebook PCs - Improving battery performance (Windows) link
You may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, use the HP Parts Surfer to find the part number and If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.
Alternatively, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link.
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options". Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from, here's how private messages work: Click here for details.
