I own an HP Pavilion 14-dh1000 x360 Convertible laptop, purchased in 2021. Recently, I have noticed a significant decline in my battery performance. Upon running a battery health check, I found that the cycle count is 983/1000, and the full charge capacity has dropped to 27 Whr (65% of the original capacity).
I would like to inquire about getting my battery replaced with a genuine HP battery. Could you please provide information on the estimated cost of an original battery replacement? Also, how do I take care of this battery and how long will it last with proper care? What to expect?

" cycle count is 983/1000" Wow! I recommend that you have it replaced as soon as possible.
Usually people get from 300-500 cycles.
This is not a shop that performs repairs nor part of the business portion of HP , this is the HP community forum.
If you want to inquire about repairs outside of warranty, contact an HP Service Center
It is more practical to purchase a genuine HP battery for your laptop and have the replacement done by a shop or qualified technician.

Only use genuine HP batteries that have the HP part number and the HP logo on them.
Non-genuine (generic), ( i.e HT03XL) batteries are known to sometimes not work as expected because of their non standard programming of the internal BMS (battery management system) chip.
If you read through threads in the forum related to problems after battery replacement you will see many members who have used generic batteries complaining that they are not working as expected.
