Battery Swelling

My product is just out of the CarePack warranty I purchased for it. In a matter of a few weeks, the battery started swelling significantly (warping the keyboard deck), and I believe it represents a danger/fire hazard. Tech support could offer me no solution except to "remove the battery." I see that there have been HP recalls for other potentially dangerous lithium ion batteries experiencing swelling issues, but I cannot tell which HP systems this may apply to. I have not received a refund for my original carepack purchase at this time. Thanks.

@BeVo1 I understand your concern and I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
