So my HP notebook decided that charging is optional and now refuses to power on unless it's plugged in. Basically, it’s a desktop in disguise at this point. 💀
Tried different outlets, checked the adapter, even gave it a pep talk—nothing. The battery just sits there at 0% like it’s on strike.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Any magic tricks before I accept my fate and carry my charger everywhere like a lifeline? Would love to hear your thoughts!

All manufacturers warranty laptop batteries for one year.
It sounds like you may have let your laptop's battery drop down below 20% a few times too many.
Doing that has a drastically negative effect on battery service life.
I suggest replacing the battery ASAP.
That is the magic trick you need to perform, just like the rest of us.
I replaced the battery in my Spectre x360 13t-ap000 laptop about two weeks ago.
Do not let it get to the point where the BIOS chip does not have any current which would lead to the laptop not booting up into Windows at all.
