HI, i do facing a problem here. My laptop is around one and half year. Last few month during the quarantine, my laptop was facing some problems and repaired it already. I sent to the shop and they replaced the HDD of mine with the new one. But then, suddenly after using my laptop after that, i feel some changes to my laptop. The battery is quickly drained and cannot last longer. It doesn't gives any battery warning at all although i set it the notification will pop up at 30%. But it doesn't. The laptop will suddenly shut down just like that out off sudden. When i turn it on again, the battery is only less than 5%. Am i experiencing this because of the new HDD does not suitable/fit for my laptop or my battery need to be changed because of it reach its lifespan? Thank you for your time and concern. Have a good day 🙂

I reviewed your post and I understand that the battery drains faster after replacing the hard drive.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
What is the exact model of your computer?
The hard drive has nothing to do with the battery performance. I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

If you continue facing the then run a test on the battery following the steps in the below article.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thank you for your respond as i'm touched as there is someone who is willing to assist me on my problem. My laptop model is HP Notebook - 14-bs726tu . My laptop always shows up the black screen with the BIOS warning and asking for reboot when i turn on my laptop. When i click enter, the computer is starting up as usual. Is it a serious problem?
About your recommendation, asking me to update the BIOS, i don't really have the courage to do so. I heard many people experienced some problems after updating bios. And i'm afraid things gotten more worse. But, thank you for your recommendation. I bet i will do it later someday in the future if the situation had really needs me to do so. I do appreciate your clarification that saying that replacing the hard drive doesn't affect my battery. I finally feel relief as the new hdd does not affect he component of my computer as i'm afraid my laptop will experienced more problem after this if the hdd does not suitable or what. Thank you a lot. I can sit back and relax, enjoying my kdrama 24-hrs.
Thankyou and have a goodd day ahead 🙂

If you are not comfortable doing a BIOS update, then follow the below steps and check if it helps.
Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager.
Here is how you do it.
Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”
Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”
Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.
Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”
Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.
Cheers!
