Microsoft Windows 11

After 18 months, the laptop battery no longer charges. HP Support software shows error codes and that it needs replacing. It's out of warranty by 6 months. Surely the battery should last longer than 18 months. It says cycle count 26/1000. Is this something I cna replace myself?
