Hello @cubus1,

Failure ID 0Q86SJ-7S29S8-XD7WMA-C09S03 translates to Failure Code 601 or Battery 1. This means that the measured storage capacity of the battery is less than 25% of its original capacity.

If you are under warranty, contact HP:

Contact HP Worldwide here.

Phone HP Worldwide here.

Check warranty status here.

Find an HP Authorized Service Center near you here.

Otherwise, you need to replace the battery yourself, which should be a relatively straightforward process.

Your laptop has two options for batteries:

4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery 807957-001
3-cell, 31-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery 807956-001

You can then use the HP Spare part number(s) in bold above in the HP Parts store hereYou may also be able to find it elsewhere on the Internet.
