HP Notebook 15-da1058tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought this HP notebook in may and now after almost two months there are issues (did not expected this with such a reputed brand ).3 out of 4 times, while charging, the led indicator turns white after some time even when the laptop is not fully charged.

When this happens the adapter gets very hot( charging continues).I ran the battery troubleshooter and it says no issues were found and the battery status is "ok".Only once it said that battery needs immediate replacement(in HP support assistant) but that error went away once i ran the HP battery check. I am currently using the latest windows 10 64-bit and have all the required apps updated to the latest version. There is no change in the charging speed.Screenshot (4).png

@Shaswat04,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

If you continue facing the issue, then reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager.

Here is how you do it.

Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”

Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”

Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.

Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”

Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Tried both of the methods and i  regularly update my pc. Still unable to get the right solution. This issue happens only when the pc is in use while charging but not if its switched off.
