The light on the power point keeps blinking and the battery is not charging even after few hours plugged in. 

The light continue to blink even when the adapter is not plugged in.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the charger led is blinking even when the charger is not connected.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

What is the product number of your computer?

Is the computer booting to Windows?

 

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

 

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

 

If you continue facing the issue, then run a test on the battery following the steps in the below article.
