Hello @Ub6424,

I first tried the calibration of battery method, I was supposed to wait for the laptop to be fully charged(LED indicator). However, the color immediately went from orange(charging) to white(full). I still waited for some time and then turned laptop on.

I get that 502 CMOS error again. After rebooting to windows, the problem was still there. So i proceeded to hardware diagnosis.

After installing and doing the first fast system test i get the following test failure(s)   :

In what country do you live? It is about the possibility of ordering the battery.

Hello @Awesoma

This is bad news: Charging Port Test: FAILED

--->>> This is also the reason why the battery is defective, because it was no longer charged and thus deeply discharged !

ub6424_0-1664559831591.png

Either the charger or the charging port of the notebook or both are defective ( do not work 100% ).

I think your options are exhausted...

Sorry, but in your case: Service is required !
- The computer should be disassembled and checked.
[Always recommended ]
Thermal paste for CPU GPU and bridges must be renewed
[Always recommended ]
The function of the fan(s) must be checked

Short circuit test

charger / charger port must be repaired / replaced !

battery must be replaced !

- Components test

- General cleaning ...

--- HP warranty valid -> Contact HP Support

--- HP warranty expired:

If you can't do that, you should have it <serviced> by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

--- Alternative:

Buy a good used or new notebook !

Good luck
