How long does the battery last and does it work properly ? Should we doubt the status of HP Diagnostics ?

As I said the battery lasted like 2 hours or so but now it doesn't work at all but I think I found some post which has similar issues as me where he said that when the battery was fully charged it was showing up as ok but when was about 50% was showing as weak on the diagnostic tool and he also had the same problem thus shutting off instantly as power supply is disconnected. And to answer your question I think that the most probable problem would be that the battery is the issue as I own this laptop more than 5 years and the laptop was getting some heavy loads throughout those years and was getting pretty hot.
