Battery life

Very common question. The battery is "smart". There is a chip inside that controls charging. You can leave it plugged in after it shows 100% charged without hurting anything. Try not to discharge it below about 15%. Li-ion does not like being completely discharged. Other than that, keep the laptop plugged in when you have AC power available and use the battery when you have no other choice. Expect to replace the battery in 2-4 years. It can be replaced and we can help with that when the time comes. Use the battery health test in HP Support Assistant every couple months just to keep tabs on how its holding up. Other than that, just use it and do not overthink.
