I bought the computer late Sep 2016, and never faced any issue with it.
However from last week, the battery does not charge beyond 75%, and the battery charger estimates it will be fully charged at a time when the battery reaches 75%.
Could you help me out with the above mentioned issue

After two years it is possible that the battery is worn out, especially if you have used the device frequently on battery.
Run the HP Diagnostics by pressing F2 repeatedly when the system is starting up. Does the battery test pass or fail?

The battery test failing is fairly conclusive that the battery has failed. Unfortunately the battery test can pass with a battery that is worn out.
In HP Support Assistant, run HP Battery Check and click "Show advanced information". Ideally post a screen shot of the information - or post the figures for "Cycle count", "Battery age", and the three "Capacity" figures.

To my reading there is nothing obviously wrong in those figures. You have a battery that is around 2 years and 4 months from manufacture, still has 90% of its full charge capacity remaining (at least so far as the system believes) and is only half way through its rated number of cycles. Conversely, that is clearly not a new battery and is in the zone where performance may well be beginning to deteriorate.
The battery monitoring does not always accurately reflect the status of a battery that is beginning to fail. You might have little alternative to replacing the battery on suspicion if your symptoms continue.

I am having the same issue. I bought a new battery and the computer is doing the same thing. I have run all diagnostic checks and all hardware passes, including the battery. I have tried unistalling battery in device manager and restarting That was without success.
Any other ideas?

Hey,
Even I had experienced the same issue before, and have also tried running several diagnostic tests and it didn't work out for me.
I contacted HP support, described the problem which I was facing and they suggested me to replace it with a new battery. From, then its working fine.
I hope this will help you out.
