I recently bought a new battery for my wifes's laptop as the original was not holding a charge for more than 20 minutes.
After installing the new battery the laptop does not detect it. I have tried all the fixes I could find online and nothing worked.
Even put the old battery back in and that too is not longer detected.
Returned the new battery and bought another one from a different supplier, still no joy. I have purchased HP replacement batteries from local resellers.
I can confirm that the charging cable is working fine as it charges my other HP laptop with no issues.
I have gone to the extent of reinstalling windows.
I would appreciate any assistance in this regard.
