HP ENVY - 17m-ce1013dx
Microsoft Windows 11

My battery is beginning to swell a bit.  I never use it, have the laptop plugged in all the time.

I need to find the part number for a new battery but can't find it on the HP website.

@Frisco1522,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

According to HP PartSurfer, your HP ENVY - 17m-ce1013dx (7PS43UA), is fitted with this battery with p/n: L09281-855 "Assembly-battery 3CELL 52Wh 4.55Ah LI LK03XL".

You can purchase a quality LK03XL replacement battery online such as this purchase example via Amazon.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

Thank you very much, I just ordered one from Amazon.  You've been a big help.  I didn't realize batteries were such a huge bundle of numbers.

I got the new battery and swapped it out Saturday.  Tricky of HP hiding the screws under the removable rubber feet strips, but got er done.  Works fine.

Old battery was swelled up pretty good, so its a good thing I got it out of there before something bad happened.

I keep it plugged in all the time and think I will have days when I unplug it and let the battery discharge normally.

Again, thank you for your quick response.

Now if my card reader would only work..........
