Battery replacement compatibility for Pavilion 15 bc400-ns

Hello everybody,

I am willing to change my battery for a new one but I found the user manual a confusing. The thing is that my battery is a TF03XL and I would like to replace it for a TF04XL. The main problem I see is that the latter is a 14V battery while the former (the current one) is 11V.

In the manual you can find that my laptop is supposed to have a 905277-855, that is, a 4 cell battery, which is confusing, since my laptop has a 3 cell battery.

Can you tell me if my laptop is compatible with a 4cell battery like the TF04XL?

Thanks for your reply, whoever I would like to know whether the 4 cell battery is compatible or not. The battery you told me is the one that comes with the laptop, however in the user manual it seems like bc400 laptops are also compatible with 4 cells.

Yes, both 849910-850 (TE03XL) and 905277-855 (TE04XL) batteries are identical in size and are compatible with your laptop, with the TE04XL battery having more watt-hours capacity.
