HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl0XXe:
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The system tray shows "Battery 10% available, (plugged in)". There is no additional "not charging" message. Component tests on the AC adapter and the battery are OK. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, this makes no difference. It has happened just after a Windows 10 update and I think also happened after the last one, but I don't know how it resolved. The battery for now is not charging so I can only use it on AC.

I eventually worked out to try a BIOS update which I did and the battery now charges. The thing that was puzzling was that it didn’t say “not charging” . A bit painful to firstly work out I needed a BIOS update an a little scary doing it ... but thanks , I was going to come back and post .

Perfect, I am really glad to hear that the issue is resolved. Yes, I understand that doing a BIOS update is always trick. All's well that ends well 🙂

If any other questions arise, please feel free to write back to me.
