Hello, I have Pavilion dv6, hp 15-bs070wm. I bought a new battery and it's a 14.5 volts. The old battery was a 10.5 volts. Will the 14.5 v work with this laptop? Thanks

Can you help identify the battery? Is there a part number or something? Its actually not uncommon to have different voltage batteries. But your battery should be compatible with one of these part numbers:
Battery 4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery 919701-850
3-cell, 31-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery 919700-850 919700-851

Hi, thank you for your help on my battery. I do have 919700-850 and returned the 14.5 volt battery. I got a hold of HP and they said that it's better safe than sorry to stick with the 10.5 volts. Thanks again......
