Hi latinoct,

I found it.

Your laptop utilizes a 9-cell, 100-Wh, 3.0-Ah, Li-ion battery and has HP Part number 672412-001.

This can be used in the HP Part Store and unfortunately, no results were listed. This usually means that HP no longer produces the part and there are no newer versions of the battery available. I confirmed that 672412-001 was correct through HP PartSurfer.

I actually did find it on ebay for $46 here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-OEM-9-Cell-Extended-Genuine-Battery-HP-DV6-7000-series-672412-001-MO09-...

Hope this helps,

Hi latinoct,

I'm currently unable to view the image because the moderators haven't approved of it yet, but in case the picture of the original battery does not provide enough information, please refer to this HP document which will help you find a specific model/product number of your computer: https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c00033108

Please post back with the model/product number.

Awaiting your response,
