Hi I need to buy a genuine HP battery and I can’t find one either on the HP website or elsewhere?

Your service manual (page 31) provides the following battery specs:

                            -Battery 2C 41WH 5.36Ah LI BP02042XL-PR

                            -Part# 849909-855

 

You can buy a replacement battery from online vendors such as eBay, Amazon and Newegg. This one is from eBay. You can look at other vendors.

Page 31 also explains how to open the case and replace a battery.
