HP Envy 360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought my HP Envy little under a year ago. The model number is 15m-cn0012dx. Just recently the left hinge seized up and pulled apart the screen by simply opening the device.

HP wants to charge me for the repair even though the device is still under warranty until April or March.

Has as anyone else had this issue and if so, how was it fixed?

Hello,

My laptop's left hinge connecting the screen is having difficulty and coming off the body if I try to close/open the lid.  It has been tight from the begining. I thought it's normal for HP laptops.  I think the Paytm where I bought had cheated me with the defective laptop.  You might be thinking it's too late to complain after 3 years now. The reason is that I use the laptop like a PC. If I had used it for mobile use, I think this would have broken long ago.

However, I know you would charge for the rectification now.  May I know how much do you charge in INR to rectify the issue?

Thanks,

Siva Sankar

I have a HP Laptop: 14CK0000NA and it too has an issue with the hinge/back of laptop. I called them twice just to be told that I need to pay £360 for new parts/repairs which is absurd, considering the fact that the laptop itself cost less! It's still under warranty until 25th September 2019 so the fact that HP doesn't cover this is really disappointing.
